The few differences would not make me decide to go for Darkroom or Lightroom. ago Ya thats true support is also something to do consider. Darktable had issues with detecting lenses, Rawtherapee just felt totally not user friendly.

One is that it’s free Plus, it doesn’t require a catalog, has more editing tools vs. It’s comparable to Lightroom but has a lot of advantages over it. Subjectively, it's easier to cull in Lr (Compare/Survey mode), but still I do that in my photo viewer before ingesting into a catalogue. Is this another example of Adobe not optimizing M1 LR to take advantage of those cores? I will note that during the preview building the fans never came on but the machine got warm and the battery drained quickly (i have no problems with this) so i just plugged in magsafe and was good, but I may have to return this machine if LR isn’t going to allow me to speed up my workflow with this device! I had about 250GB of R5 files on this import and about a quarter if that is my typical daily workflow (this was from a 4-day trip where i typically backup my daily files to an SSD).

On the import of the r5 files, did you guys build 1-to-1 previews?
